Did you know that 80% of ABRCMS student attendees are underrepresented minorities? Research continues to show the importance mentors play in minorities' success in STEM fields and as such, ABRCMS provides opportunities for you to be involved during the conference.
1. Serve as a judge
Mentors are needed to provide constructive feedback to the over 2,000 undergraduate and postbaccalaureate student presenters. We aim to provide each student with 3 judges to give feedback on their presentation. Not only do you get to explore the latest research, you also get the chance to leave a lasting impression on students by encouraging them in their research studies.
Must be a senior level graduate student, postdoctoral scientist or research faculty member
Must attend Judges' Training sessions (part one is a webinar and part two occurs on-site). Have to be available to judge at least 1 poster/oral session
All judges, including volunteers, must register and pay the registration fee

2. Participate in networking sessions
Multiple networking sessions are strategically placed throughout the conference to provide opportunities for students to talk to peers and meet new mentors. Your participation in these sessions will allow you to connect with students who are eagerly pursuing education and career advice and who can benefit from learning about your unique career journey.
3. Serve as an abstract reviewer
Are you an ACTIVE researcher willing to invest in the next generation of scientists? Volunteer to review pre-conference abstracts for ABRCMS 2018.
