Dana Crawford, Ph.D. Case Western Reserve University

Dr. Crawford is Associate Professor of Population and Quantitative Health Sciences at Case Western Reserve University (CWRU) and Assistant Director for Population and Diversity Research in the CWRU Institute for Computational Biology. Her expertise is in genetic epidemiology and human genetics, and her current research interests are in the interface of genetic epidemiology and big data biomedical informatics. Dr. Crawford’s laboratory uses epidemiologic and clinical collections to characterize common and rare genetic variants associated with common, complex human diseases in diverse populations. Dr. Crawford is also interested in identifying pleiotropy and environmental modifiers of these genetic associations, including pharmacogenomics.
