Travel Award Information
Four types of travel awards are being offered this year through ABRCMS and the FASEB MARC Program to ABRCMS attendees and judges. Provided below are information and application requirements for each travel award.
***Please note, attendees are allowed to apply to both the ABRCMS Student Travel Award and the FASEB MARC Travel Award, but can only accept one.***
ABRCMS Student Travel Award
Application Deadline: Friday, September 11, 2015
The the ABRCMS Student Travel Award provides undergraduate and postbaccalaureate students up to $1,500 to cover conference registration, housing, and/or travel (airfare). If you plan on applying for a travel award, please do not book your travel or hotel until you receive notice from ABRCMS that you were not accepted. If you are accepted into the program, ABRCMS will provide you with further instructions for booking your travel and will assign you a roommate. Graduate students and postdoctoral scientists are not eligible to apply.

FASEB MARC Program Travel Award
Application Deadline: September 25, 2015
The FASEB MARC Travel Award provides first time undergraduate student presenters up to $2,050 to be used for travel related expenses and/or conference registration. Graduate students and postdoctoral scientists are not eligible to apply.
Decisions are made on a rolling basis.

ABRCMS-LINK Travel Award
Application Deadline: September 1, 2015*
Post-doctoral and STEM faculty researchers are encouraged to apply for a 2015 ASM-LINK Undergraduate Faculty Research Initiative (UFRI) Fellowship. This fellowship supports STEM faculty to develop successful undergraduate research programs. In addition to virtual and onsite training and mentoring, travel subsidies will be awarded to (1) encourage collaborations with potential research partners and students, (2) increase participation of STEM researchers at ABRCMS, and (3) access resources to advance undergraduate research programs. Eligible applicants will: possess a PhD (or equivalent) in any STEM field, attend two-day pre-ABRCMS training, participate in the ABRCMS judging program, and express commitment to train undergraduate students in STEM research and education.
