We are looking for volunteers who would be interested in serving the ePoster Spring Symposium community of young scientists.
Volunteer Opportunities:
Abstract Reviewer (asynchronous)
- Review up to 15 abstracts March 21-24, 2024.
- Reviews will be online and asynchronous.
Time commitment: Approximately 8 hours, March 21-24, 2024.
ePoster Judge (LIVE)
- Judge approximately four student ePoster presentations on April 25 from 4-5 p.m. ET.
- Judging will be live via video chat with students using the Fourwaves platform (symposium registration required).
Time commitment: Approximately 2 hours, April 25, 2024.
Volunteer to Review or Judge Abstracts
Eligibility Requirements for Volunteers
- Must be
- a senior-level graduate student,
- postdoctoral scientist,
- research faculty member
- or research scientist.
- Must be an active researcher, who spends at least 25% of time researching, in one of the 12 ABRCMS disciplines.
- Register and indicate your interest in volunteering by Friday, March 1, 2024.
Requirements of ePoster Abstract Reviewer
- Confirm the abstract has been assigned the appropriate scientific discipline or if more than one discipline can be associated with the abstract.
- Assigned approximately 15 abstracts.
- Score abstracts using a provided rubric. Accept or reject abstracts into the conference. If rejected, must select why rejected.
- Provide a comment on how the student can improve their abstract.
Time commitment: Approximately 8 hours, March 21-24, 2024.
Requirements of ePoster Judge
- Watch the Judges Orientation Webinar.
- Judge approximately 4 presentations with live verbal and written feedback based on the provided rubric.
- Please note that students will be presenting their research to you LIVE through the ePoster platform on April 25 from 4-5 p.m. ET.
Time commitment: Approximately 2 hours, April 25, 2024.
