Step 3

Brainstorm Where to Send Request

Once you have a solid request letter drafted, determine where you'd like to send your request.

Ideas to Start Your Search

Start by asking your research mentor or principal investigator if they have funds available for students to present their research.

Ask your department if they have funds available for students to attend a scientific meeting.

Many universities have Departments of Undergraduate Research. See if your university has one and reach out to them to see if there are funds available.

Does your university have any other scholarships available?

Are you a part of a science club? See if they provide funds for students to attend scientific meetings.

Are you a student member of a professional society? See if they have funds available for students to present at conferences.
